MONT BLANC TUNNEL : closure from Sept to Dec 2025 

From the beginning of September to mid-December 2025 - more than 60 years after the construction of this exceptional infrastructure - the Mont Blanc Tunnel will be going on with the reconstruction of two portions of the tunnel vault, making it one of the first major European tunnels to undertake deep renovation work on its structure.
This project will require one total closure of the tunnel for a duration of 15 consecutive weeks:
from 5 p.m. on Monday 1, September 2025
to 5 p.m. on Friday 12, December 2025

During this period, please use the recommended alternative routes.

Blankenburg Tunnel

As of 7 December 2024, the Blankenburg Tunnel, a new motorway (A24) in the west of the Netherlands, has been opened to tolls. It connects the A20 in Vlaardingen with the A15 in Rozenburg.

The toll is applicable to all vehicles, including cars and buses and is based on ANPR (automatic number plate recognition).

Danish road toll from 1 January 2025

The Danish authorities have announced that, as part of a green transition of road transport, a Danish road tax will be introduced with effect as of January 1st, 2025.

From 2025, trucks of 12 tons and above must pay road toll depending on how far they drive and how much CO2 they emit (Kilometer-based and CO2-differentiated toll for trucks).

Upcoming changes that will affect all vehicles entering the UK

From 31st January 2025, it will be a legal requirement for hauliers to complete a Safety and Security (S&S) declaration for all UK import shipments. Additionally, a valid S&S MRN must be added to your Goods Movement Reference (GMR). Without it, no GMR will be issued – no S&S MRN, no GMR, no boarding ferry. The haulier is responsible for ensuring this requirement is fulfilled.
